About Me!

It all began with a simple love of music. My parents raised me on Funk, R&B, Rock & Roll and yes, of course Jazz! Everywhere we went we had quality, 20th century music playing throughout the house and especially during car rides. In elementary school I became enticed by the trumpet and came to really build my chops entering school music competitions and being a first trumpet player in the marching band for all four years of high school. By 8th grade, I was playing with the Jazz band and that continued straight on through High School to present day. There were lots of other instruments around the house as well though, Guitars, Basses and of course that one thing I just couldn't seem to keep my hands off of, the Piano, my soul brother. Subsequently, I started taking piano lessons  with the amazing Greg Slawson, learning and performing both classical and jazz repertoire. It was also with Greg that I learned the wonderful tool of music production and have since produced my own music which can be instrumental, soulful, or electronic jazz. It's all delicious if you ask me.

Through Jr High & High School I spent my summers and my weekends at the Cleveland Music Settlement studying Jazz, I won the Louis Armstrong award in 2019, I did two camps (2018 & 2019) with Bobby Sanabria at the Roberto Ocasio Latin Jazz Camp and after graduation went straight on to Kent State University where I have been studying under the expert tutelage of the legendary Jazz Saxophonist Bobby Selvaggio, Kent McWilliams, and jazz pianist Rodney "Hubb" Hubbard, Joey Skoch, and bassist Aidan Plank.

Next thing you know I have built out a home studio, StudioLogic SL88 and started working with some great DAWs (Presonus Studio One and Cubase)  next thing I know I have written about a hundred new songs, my appreciation of the masters has influenced me greatly and that mixed with my love for Funk is really starting to take me in new directions.

I'm in my 4th year at Kent State now and all the hard work is paying off, I'm picking up some great gigs, collaboration opportunities with other musicians and producers, I feel my chops are the finest they have ever been and I am looking forward to hitting the streets as a music creator to serve the human collective.
